Thank you to all sponsors & supporters

The success of Mental Health Week 2025 would not have been possible without the support and sponsorship of a wide variety of individuals and organisations.

Heart felt thanks to all.

Make a difference; make a scarecrow

Thanks to all the community members and businesses who made a scarecrow for  Mental Health Week 2025.

Scarecrows are usually made from odd bits and bobs brought together to form something whole. Just like people, who are shaped by many life experiences, both good and bad. Mental health is about embracing all those parts and still seeing value and dignity.

Orange is the official colour for Mental Health Week, chosen to signal warmth and positivity. It’s  a visual reminder that even in tough times, there’s light and life ahead.

Successful grant application

We're pleased to announce that our Disaster Ready Fund grant application from NEMA, funded by the Commonwealth Government, was successful.

We applied for $125 000 to support Council to purchase an industrial-scale chipper/shredder. The aim is to reduce the risk of bushfire by supporting strategic green waste clearing without the need for burning.

We expect the machine to be delivered in Nov 2025.
